Timeshares

What can you do if you have changed your mind after buying a timeshare, or if you're not happy with what you've got? Read on to find out your rights.

If you have signed a timeshare contract in the UK, you have a cooling-off period of 14 days in which you can cancel the contract (and any related credit agreement) at no cost and be refunded any money you have paid. The seller must not seek or accept any money from you during the cooling off period.

In many other countries, the cooling-off period is 10 days.

Holiday clubs are very similar to timeshare products but you should be aware that you may not get the same protection as that provided for timeshare.

If you have bought timeshare or membership of a holiday club and find you have not got what you paid for, you may still be able to get your money back, provided you paid on credit. However, this does not apply if you just change your mind.
